Governors
What the Governors do
The board of governors work hard to ensure the aims of Hunton CEP School are met. The principle duty of a governor is to contribute to the continuing improvement of the school through a wide variety of activities.
As a body they are responsible for setting the direction for the school. Our governors work tirelessly to review and monitor the work of the school in line with strategic direction as well as ensuring that we meet all statutory responsibilities.
Our governors are 'critical friends' to our school which facilitates the raising of standards and supports areas for development. The governing body develops policies and plans which reflect the aims and strategic goals of the school.
Hunton CEP School has main board meetings and committees which have responsibility for maintenance and improvement of the school building, deciding how the budget is spent and by encouraging good home school and community partnerships. Should you wish to view governor minutes, please request the clerk of governors via the school office.
The Headteacher is responsible for the day to day running of the school, including staff management, implementing policies and monitoring the learning and teaching.
If you would be interested in becoming a governor of our school please contact our Chair of Governors through the school office.
