This year our Science learning is getting a whole lot more exciting!

Porteous (y3/4) and Borton (y5/6) will be joining forces to experience the scientific world of Empiribox. As part of these sessions, pupils will learn more about fun, exciting and real Science in a practical way.

Our first topic is 'Chemical Change' which was lead by our Head Teacher, Mr Murdoch and our Deputy Head Teacher, Mr Ming! In our first session we learnt about hazard symbols and what they mean when handling chemicals and discussed how we know that a chemical reaction has occurred.

As part of our Science learning, expert CPD from the Empiribox team is provided to our teachers. During these sessions, our teachers are shown how to deliver the fantastic demonstrations and engage us in thought provoking experiments.
