Religious Education
As a church school, Religious Education provides a core part of our pupils' learning. Religious Education is taught as a discrete subject to all children on a weekly basis.
Hunton CEP School use the 'Understanding Christianity' resources from the Rochester Diocese. These new materials form the basis of the new Diocesan syllabus together with the materials for the teaching and learning of other world faiths.
The purpose of our RE teaching and learning is to enable pupils to become religiously literate or to develop their existing religious literacy. This involves: theology, sociology and philosophy.
